Pasquale Rotella Walks!

August 4, 2016 – Amplify Magazine — Pasquale Rotella, the founder of Insomniac and head of EDM for Live Nation accepted a generous plea deal in his corruption and conflict of interest case.

Pasquale was facing state prison time in the corruption case dealing with payments he and co-defendant Reza Gerami had allegedly paid to Coliseum GM Todd DeStefano. The case had dragged on for six years, but multiple allegations of prosecutorial misconduct derailed the case, forcing the DA’s Public Integrity Unit to settle.

Pasquale pled no contest to misdemeanor conflict of interest and as part of his sentencing, Pasquale will be on probation for three years and pay a $150,000 payment to the LA County treasurer. No word yet on the fates of his co-defendants, who will be back in court tomorrow.

“I always knew the charges were politically motivated and publicly driven,” Rotella said in a statement released shortly after the sentencing. “While it’s taken too long to finally put this behind me, I can now focus my energy where it belongs: my family and my company. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this.”
